Users of a certain language should know how to refer to and use dictionaries in an effective way to be successful in the translation process. Also, the dictionary is, most of the time, the only and the first source of information that translators, either professional or trainee, will use. Therefore, having a good dictionary or being proficient in a foreign language never guarantees the ability to use a dictionary. Dictionary skills are also needed to be built and developed by the learners of a foreign language.
