Jonathan is a businessman traveling in East Europe and he is ambitious to finish the purchase of an estate. In the Victorian society, working hard and doing anything necessary for job is a characteristics of an English businessman. He travels to places he has never been before and he intends to go as far as possible. He does not listen to the warnings of local people and even at the times when he fears much he does not pay attention to his fears and travels to the castle.
