In addition to generations X and Y, we are now becoming familiar with the term “Generation Z”. This latest generation is highly skilled in the use of social media, mobile technology, and computer-driven environments than earlier generations. Each generation has certain generic characteristics even though they differ by national cultures. Managers should have the expertise to work with the complexity of relationships among different generations and minimize conflicts.
